FAQ’s

Where can I have my Canada-West Assurance Rim & Tire Warranty work done?

Please return with your vehicle and damaged tire and/or rim, to your selling dealership or to an authorized dealership. The authorized dealership of your choice will contact the Canada-West Assurance Company for authorization on all claims requiring a tire and/or rim repair or replacement.

I have tire & rim coverage and now have a flat tire, can I have it repaired/replaced at any shop?

Your Tire & Rim Warranty provides repair or replacement to the covered tires/rims that fail due to road hazard and the process is to bring the vehicle to one of our authorized dealerships for service. A road hazard failure occurs when a covered tire or rim fails to continue to hold air due to a road hazard. A road hazard is defined as a condition on a public highway or maintained road that should not exist there, such as nails, screws, glass, loose objects, debris, or potholes. Please see your terms and conditions for additional information on your coverage.

Do I have to have my free tire rotations completed?

Your Tire & Rim Warranty provides you with a free annual rotation and inspection at any of our authorized dealerships as outlined in the reminder email. Although your tires may not be in need of rotation at this time, your warranty requires that we have an opportunity to inspect your tires once per year to ensure they are in roadworthy condition, thus protecting your investment. Your technician will best be able to determine if a tire rotation is needed when you come in.

Please contact either your selling dealership or our Appointment Hotline at 204-831-4866 to book your FREE annual inspection and rotation.

I just did a tire rotation, why am I receiving a reminder phone call?

Thank you for visiting one of our authorized dealers and completing your tire rotation and inspection.

To ensure accuracy, please visit our Contact Us page or email us directly.

If you are getting phone call reminders for your tire rotation & inspection and you have already had this recently completed, please email us with your VIN so we can search for your vehicle and make the necessary amendment. If you have recently performed a tire rotation at an unauthorized service centre, please visit any authorized dealer to perform a FREE inspection when you come in for your next oil change, to confirm that your tires are still in roadworthy condition, and to protect your investment.

I no longer have my vehicle, why am I still receiving phone calls from Canada-West Assurance?

Our apologies, occasionally, our records are not up to date with your most recent auto transactions. Please, just send us an email with your vehicle ownership status, and we would be happy to update your records.

I need to use my credit insurance (accident & health, critical illness, etc...), what do I do?
If you need to discuss making a claim on your creditor’s insurance to cover your payments during this difficult time, please contact the Insurer, Industrial Alliance, at 1-800-663-9498. Please have your contract on hand when you call them.
Does your Tire & Rim Armour Warranty cover tires that I bought after the purchase of my car (my warranty was purchased at the same time as my vehicle)?

Please note our Warranty is only offered on tires purchased through one of our authorized dealers. Sales on tires through these authorized dealers extend coverage through “Wheel Deal” to your second set, as described here.

I have received a notification to have my tires rotated, however, I have recently changed to winter tires. Do I still need to go in for a rotation in order to retain coverage?

We agree that your tires may not necessarily need to be rotated at this time.  However, your Tire & Rim Warranty requires that we have an opportunity to inspect your tires once per year to ensure they are in roadworthy condition, thus protecting your investment.

If you had your winter tires changed over at one of our authorized dealerships, we are confident the appropriate inspection would have been performed at that time.  If that was the case, please Contact Us with the details so we can update our records. Otherwise, please request your annual free inspection to be performed when you come in for your next oil change.
